A Father’s Day Gift Ideas & Planner
Shopping for Father’s Day gifts can feel impossible. Everyone seems to have more than needed, a little of everything these days. I can tell that my own dad still has a collection of shirts perfectly packed in their original boxes! Truth is, any father would be happy with even the smallest gift you give because they love you. Still, we keep trying to find the “perfect father’s day gift”. Know this, whatever you bring, dad will love it.
Here are some ideas to help you pick the perfect one and also not create clutter. Take some time to think about his interests, history, your relationship, and his basic needs.
You can make your Father’s Day memorable with a gift that he will enjoy for a long time and what more could be better than a Father’s Day gift basket? You can buy a gift basket or make one of your own by keeping in mind his interests and preferences. You can buy a basket easily available in any crafts store and then fill it with the gifts and decorate it with fillers.
Now, think about what your father likes to do in your spare time. For example, my dad is a (mega) book lover! so, consider books if your dad shares the same love. If he has an interest in nature, traveling, computers, science, or literature, you can include books based on related topics. If he is a music lover, you can choose from a wide variety of music CDs ranging from pop, jazz, classical, movie soundtracks, or you can even go for meditation CDs that help relieve stress. For movie lovers, handpick his favorite movies and create a personalized DVD collection that you can add on to special occasions.
If your father is a gadget lover, you can gift him with some of the latest tech gadgets. If your father is still working, you can either gift him an official leather bag or a designer pen. Some general gift items that you can include are photo frames, chocolates, dried fruits, or a health guide if he is a sports lover. For fathers who are fashion conscious, you can gift him a neck tie or accessories such as watches, tie pins, sunglasses, and wallets.
Keep in mind that the best gifts are often practical, items he needs or has asked for. Let’s keep the junk-making-type-of-gift out of the list!
