Organizing Tips For a Great Holiday Season
The kitchen is a hard-working area all year round, but on the holiday season it becomes the hero of the house and here are some kitchen organizing tips to help you get this job done.
During the holidays, everyone gathers here, cooks are whipping their yummies for friends and family and of course, someone must be cleaning the mess.
To simplify your life during the holidays organize your kitchen and pantry now when days are under a normal routine.
Start by cleaning up the pantry, fridge, and freezer, tossing all old and expired items (I promise you’ll find them, even more, if you have a really deep pantry!) and by donating the ones your family didn’t really look for.
I actually like to leave enough room in the pantry for the extra nuts, dry fruits, baking ingredients, and all the good stuff we tend to buy more for this entertaining season.
Another area that I like to address is the kitchen cabinets. Go through them and see if you can remove anything you haven’t really used lately or that you know is not working, like an old appliance.
Check if you need to replace or add any baking pans, baking dishes, Pyrex, serving platters so you include these items on your shopping list and keep an eye out for them when you’re out and about.
Having the kitchen organized during the holidays will be a huge help and then late in December, when the bakers are baking and the cooks are crafting their masterpieces, you’ll love that you took the time to get this done!
