Get Your Closet Ready For The Holidays
The holidays are a time when you get to dress up for holiday parties, office celebrations and trips to the theatre.
To take full advantage of your wardrobe, organize your closet for the holidays.
Rotate the items in your wardrobe so your winter clothes are easy to find.
If space is limited, store summer outfits in storage bins or boxes. Choose a storage option that takes advantage of hidden storage or vertical space. Store clothes in bins on shelves high in your closet or in under-the-bed storage containers.
Inventory your winter clothing, including your favorite party outfits and dresses. Donate or toss items that have been damaged, no longer fit or don’t make you look (or feel!) your best. If necessary, schedule time to take items to be laundered, dry-cleaned or altered.
Mark Your Calendar
Check your calendar for special occasions coming up this holiday season and plan your outfit for each.
Schedule any necessary appointments with your hair stylist to ensure you can get an appointment during the busy holiday season. Finally, purchase items you need such as new shoes or a winter jacket.
